How It All Began
My love of the Old English Sheepdog began when I was 11 years old. After begging my parents for months, and spending every Saturday at the library researching the breed and dog shows, they finally agreed I was ready. A few months later, my parents purchased me my very first show quality Old English Sheepdog who I named Brittany.
I immediately started taking handling classes and attending shows. I was hooked! One of my best memories as a child was attending the CKC Centennial Show and competing in the Junior Handling Competition. I was also featured in a Pedigree Pal dog food commercial which was taped at the show and aired on National TV. It was so exciting!
We had our first litter when Brittany was two, and out of that litter came my first homebred champion named Baxter, who I showed myself. I had many exciting wins in the years to come. I absolutely loved showing dogs, win or lose!
After taking a hiatus from the dog show world when I was 19 (I attended college and moved out on my own) I have since been married and actively involved in showing again. I look forward to many more years of being involved with this wonderful breed!
